Mark Lindeman

In 1990, Mark married Lucy, never guessing that he was marrying a foundation, too. He was and remains inspired by Alice’s passion for the natural and human environment, her impatience with bigotry, her boundless curiosity, her unfailing courtesy, and her trust in us.

Mark is a political scientist by training, particularly interested in voting behavior, quantitative methods, and the politics of science, technology, and the environment. These interests unexpectedly came together in election integrity work. Mark currently is director of science and technology policy at Verified Voting, and spends much of his time helping election officials around the U.S. check their election outcomes as efficiently as possible.

Mark hikes whenever possible, sings with a local chorus (and in most circumstances), and writes songs every decade or so. You might find him comparing book notes with Kolu  or attending a Cheryl Wheeler concert.
