Allen Doyle

Allen was blessed to grow up with Alice as his Mother, and probably will never know the full extent of that benefit. Her devotion to fairness, connections across class and race,  generosity, animals and wildflowers was the water he swam in, and of course, complained about as a teen. He is grateful he could ask many deep questions to Alice, and she always had a thoughtful and respectful answer.

Allen first learned of impending global warming in 1983 as an Oceanography student and lived with that likelihood until he left the laboratory bench for an administrator’s desk as Sustainability Manager at the University of California. He is active outdoors and presently a volunteer hike leader with the Atlanta Outdoor Club, and active in the restorative masculinity movement.
