Jay Vawter

In addition to his commitment to the values of the Lawson Valentine Foundation, Jay has long been involved as a Trustee and sometimes Chair of the Board of many nonprofit organizations focusing on the environment, education, religion, and the arts. Among these are the D & R Greenway (land preservation), Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Princeton Theological Seminary, Center of Theological Inquiry, Historical Society of Princeton, The Opera Festival of New Jersey, and The American Boychoir School.

In 1984 he served as Chairman the Board of the Institute of Financial Analysts, the leading testing and chartering organization of the investment management profession, which currently has over 100,000 members. He was honored with the C. Stewart Sheppard Award for his service to his profession.
